Rainy Day Vibes||

I’m not a huge fan of this rainy weather and all the gloom, so naturally I try to ignore it as much as possible. Wearing skirts and heeled booties in the rain? Obvious choice of course. Never let that cold weather keep you from dressing nice!

Sephora Haul 12.17.14

I recently purchased a few of my favorite products as well as a few new ones from Sephora! A review will be coming very soon!

Okay, I am so excited to announce that I finally got my BLACK beauty blender! I have been obsessing over it for some weird reason. I guess I just don’t enjoy pink as much. I’m sure it works just as well as the pink one, which I would highly recommend to you all! Don’t worry about the color because the beauty blender will do your face more justice than any brush or knockoff sponge.

I also purchased the green, latex free DUO eyelash glue, which I have heard marvelous things about. I have only used the original DUO glue, so I am excited to try this one out since it is a different formula with a brush on applicator.

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer is a product I have been using for awhile as a foundation base for oily skin. Obviously, since I bought more, it is a favorite of mine. I bought two mini sizes because I prefer those for traveling, versus the larger one. The minis are $18 each while the full size is $52 and holds three time the amount of product as the mini.

My Anastasia Brow Whiz a must, of course. However, I opted for medium ash instead of caramel because I feel it may compliment my hair and skin tone better. So, the review of this new color is soon to come.

I also received some awesome freebies! The Versace Yellow Diamond Perfume has refreshing floral notes, which I personally am not the biggest fan of when it comes to fragrances. The Glam Glow brightmud eye treatment is something I am looking forward to trying to brighten the eyes and rid of those lines and dark circles. The Dr Jart dis-a-pore beauty balm is meant to diminish pores and such, but if you refer to one of my previous posts, the Nip and Tuck Glycolic Serum has already done wonders as far as that problem. Finally, the Hourglass Illusion Skin Tint is an oil free cream you can throw on quickly as an alternative to full on foundation. I will be sure to post a review of all the great products from this haul so stay tuned!

NIP & FAB – glycolic fix serum

The truth is, I normally don’t waste money on skin products because I have experienced such bad luck with them. However, when I saw Kylie Jenner posted a picture of a Nip and Fab product then ran across it at Ulta, I couldn’t resist. This particular product focuses on getting rid of fine lines and large pores. I suffer from expression marks just across my forehead and terrible genetics when it comes to the pores on my nose. With that being said, I have tried a variety of products to eliminate these issue ranging from $10 to $90, yet they have all failed. In just a few uses, I noticed very visible results especially when it comes to the pores. The product claims to cure all these flaws within two weeks so I will be sure to update you all when that point comes! So far, the few days I have used the serum have proven it to be a miracle! More pictures with after results will be coming soon.

Raise that brow: Anastasia Beverly Hills

Trust me, I am no makeup artist, but I do love makeup.One of the greatest compliments a girl can get? Her brows! It’s hard to explain, but brows just have some magical way of pulling your whole face together. The way they arch tells so much about you and your style, as outlandish as that may sound. So, I recently starting investing a bit more in brow products than usual, opting for Anastasia Beverly Hills, which you can find at Sephora.

I first use the Brow Wiz to line the bottom of my brows and to fill in the end portion of the arch closest to my ears. Be sure to use the spooley to blend this harsh line in well! I then use the Brow Powder to lightly fill in the portion of my brows nearest to my nose. A small angled brush is perfect for shaping your brow into your ideal shape. I then usually apply a light, shimmery shadow or cream eyeliner directly beneath my brow and blend it in with a small blending brush. Finally, apply the clear Brow Gel, starting from the inner portion, swiping outwards towards the ends of the arches.

I love these products, besides the fact that the Brow Wiz dies down quickly and has a very short lifespan. It’s quite pricey for the few uses you get out of it in comparison to normal brow pencils. I currently use medium brown in both the pencil and powder, but I am hoping to switch to soft brown, which is a bit darker. I would definitely recommend getting a powder one shade lighter than the pencil if you desire a more natural and faded tone at the portion of your brow nearest your nose, rather than a monotone brow throughout.

Cheers to the first of many selfies to come…
