Valentine’s Day ❤️

Hope everyone had a magical Valentine’s Day! After a spontaneous change in plans, my love and I decided to spend the day in Manhattan Beach and enjoy our favorite steak dinner in Woodland Hills. I kept it casual this year in my favorite, leather. Leather at the beach? Yep, that’s me!

The idea of a “gastropub” was really intriguing, which is one of the reasons I decided to give this place a try! Industrial wooden tables and metal accents surround you while you’re enjoying an incredible meal at one of LA’s best. Messhall Kitchen is right off of Los Feliz and conveniently has valet, since the street parking is usually packed. I went for their weekend brunch, in which they have been voted as one of the best restaurants to brunch in Los Angeles.

I ordered the Messhall Benedict, which was a delightful mix of smoked ham, poached eggs, hollandaise all on a perfectly crisp english muffin. The hollandaise was slightly acidic, with a tiny kick of spice, and overall very creamy, making it the perfect hollandaise. It came with a side of fruit and cost $13 total, which is a decent price for the amount of food you get!

They have a full bar and completely different weekday lunch and dinner menu with plenty of options to try! Definitely a must

Another plus? Rob Scheppy (Celebrity makeup artist and Kardashian guru) was sitting just across the way from us. I love those LA moments when it just hits you that you are living in LA amongst Hollywood’s rich and famous, where dreams come true.

A girl should be two things…both classy & fabulous

An handbag worth investing in? Chanel! The signature quilted leather Chanel handbag accented with the gold chain, it’s everything! Every girl dreams of a Chanel handbag with that trademark logo. This bag is the perfect size for going out at night but really can be worn at any time or any day. I’m a huge fan of this style and honestly, it is the perfect accessory to glamorize any look! If you’re looking to buy a handbag, Chanel is always a timeless and chic choice. Afterall, when it comes to Chanel, is there really anyone who wouldn’t kill for one of these purses?

P.S. Can anyone recommend a good quality leather conditioner? I need to preserve that signature Chanel shine!

New York!

Okay, so maybe I wasn’t actually in NY but this holographic crop top is just so fab!

I’m still all about representing the city I’d die for, LA. But, when it comes to holographic prints,  I just can’t resist! I couldn’t help but customize my look by making the oversized tee into a crop top. I also bought these Topshop boyfriend jeans sans massive rips so I went to business with my scissors to show some more skin!

I see you Malibu

I recently spent the day in Malibu and I’ve been dying to go to Cafe Habana. I am so happy I did because their corn was literally delicious! This picture does the yummy little appetizer no justice. Roasted to perfection, smothered in queso fresco and finished with a bit of heat, this was to die for. The tacos were tasty too, but definitely start off with the corn when you go!

The views in Malibu are one of a kind and always so dreamy. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled because you never know who you might spot in Malibu. Spotted: Kim K at Nobu.

Hello Bay Area

I recently went vintage shopping at some of my favorite shops in Downtown San Jose. Black & Brown is a must if you are in the area!

I’m obsessed with my Jeffrey Campbell  heeled sandals. JC always has my heart! My floral high-low top is from Wasteland  Haight Ashbury and my high waisted denim shorts are vintage Levi. I’ll be sure to post an up close shot of my vintage Versace bag soon!

Philz Coffee is one of Downtown SJ’s most popular coffee shops! Each cup is individually brewed and customized for each customer. Definitely try their most popular drink,  the mint mojito.

Can’t stop wearing my fave Kate Spade sunnies! No shame when it comes to big ol’ bug eyes.

Stay tuned for more posts about my Bay Area adventures. Oh how I love Cali!

Not to be completely biased but… black&white truly are the greatest colors on this planet! There isn’t a color combo that I love more than this one. These colors are so simple, yet always trendy and chic, which is why it is consistently a popular style on the red carpet! Last year at Cannes, b&w was everywhere. Daisy Buchannan (a.k.a. Carrie Mulligan) rocked the carpet in her unique Vionnet gown. Emma Watson kept it simple and glam in Chanel while Jennifer Lawrence opted for a strapless Dior piece. I mean when JLaw wears it, you knows it’s fashionable. These classic colors have, again, been spotted at Cannes this year , so we’ll see what the rest of the days brings us.

Then there’s this year’s Met Gala, in which the theme was Charles James inspired “White-TIe”. From RiRi to Cara, Hollwood’s finest were decked head to toe in b&w. Queen B wore a sheer, beaded, Givenchy Haute Couture piece in contrast with her man, Jay-Z, who opted for a white tux (pre-elevator madness). Here are some of my fave black and white looks from the Met Gala… Image

How to rock the B&W trend everyday!

We might not all be in need of a $$$ designer gown this summer, but that doesn’t mean we all can’t stay fashionable in b&w! Simple b&w pieces are a wardrobe staples so don’t be afraid to invest a bit! Making the look all your own is super easy by adding twists like leather accents, fun graphic tees, or even  spikes! Hints of neon? Perfect to break the constraints of bland b&w!

I know I’ll definitely be all over this trend.
